Day 1: We Stand Together!

Morning Invocation for the People’s Congress:

We gather here together to unite our voices, and express our collective will and determination for a representational form of Governance. We gather to speak our concern for the threatened freedoms, rights, liberty and prosperity of our fellow citizens. We gather to give birth to the representative democracy envisioned by our forefathers and fought for by oppressed minorities for over 200 years. We gather to convene this historic People’s Congress on the Mall in Washington D.C.  to protect our families and our future by ending the corporate take-over of our systems of governance and our representatives.

    Perhaps you have a better plan, if so we would love to hear about it now! If not, are you ready to help build a large enough coalition that can stand up to the ongoing abuse of power? Have you concluded that the “system” is broken and that “direct action” is our only recourse?

      Planning to hold the People’s Congress just prior to the Congressional Summer Recess, 2012. That will most likely be between mid June and mid July

    Bringing a paradigm shifting gathering to the Mall in D.C. is simply a matter of funneling all the frustration and determination we as citizens are feeling into one constructive and focused event. It’s really not rocket science, but it does take everyone’s participation. It’s far more productive to organize first, then execute a plan, than it is to gather everyone together just to make some noise.
    Standing up to power, behaving as responsible citizens and owning our constitutional right to Govern is a cause for celebration, not frustration. We will be organizing our base over the summer months and into the fall. If you would like to be part of this process, please let us know. There is a lot we can do. As the core of Peoples Congress is developed, everyone’s participation in the forums is needed. There are many things to do and we all can play our part. Remember, this site belongs to the People. It is your site. If you want to help make history, enter the forums, leave comments, connect and develop teams, committees, and above all, reach out to other Americans who are in search of a way to end the madness.
    In the next few weeks, I will be contacting many of you personally so we might both figure out just how you can be of help. We are very glad to be hearing from so many, and like you are excited about what is about to happen.

    They really need to be more clear on the date/ proposed dates. I spent way too much time looking for an answer. Web fatigue People! Put the FAQ in an easy location.

      Aqua009.  See the home page, in the slide show presentation, DAY 1, says, “To be held the weeks prior to the congressional summer recess”.  That has not been scheduled yet by the Speaker of the House, so a date certain is not yet possible to give.  Also, in the text of the home page, about 3 paragraphs down, it reads,

       ”The People’s Congress will take place the week(s)
      preceding the Congressional Summer Recess, 2012. Currently, the Majority
      Leader’s office has not published a calendar for 2012, so an exact date
      is not yet possible to determine. Once our steering committee has this
      information, a specific date will be announced. For now, plan for late
      May through early July, 2012 Official notice, Executive Committee”As well, when a steering committee solidifies, THEY will have the responsibility of picking the date anyway, AND, most of all ,it is contingent on the occupies, and just how EVERYONE feels about where we are going.  WE are not placing a deadline on the revolution.  It will happen when it is ready, but I hope it is sometime this coming summer at the latest.

Elizabeth Warren’s dedication and impeccable methods in research were used extensively to create the (CFPB) Consumer Financial Protections Bureau. In fact, Ms. Warren’s work is so discouraging to corporate interests that she moved aside so that Richard Cordray could head the agency. The end result is that now Ms. Warren is running to become part of congress. The people could not ask for a better leader for liberty.
