Day 1 Day 3

Corporations count on the media for protection. The media has in many respects turned people off to voting, and the lack of participation in our elections only gives policy makers cover to do what ever the corporations want. It’s a vicious circle. By addressing all of these issues in depth and with specific reforms, we basically end a vicious cycle and allow for a more meaningful democracy to flourish. We can do this in a few weeks if we have the support of a majority of Americans, and I believe most Americans now “get” what’s going on. It’s only a matter of giving them a meaningful way to express themselves.

The People’s Congress Agenda is currently an outline. The responsibility we all share is to refine it’s parts. We must be concise and very specific about our goals and therefor our language. When we as a body draft legislation, it will have power and meaning. That process is taking place in our forums. Committees are meeting there now, or will be soon. Join the one(s) you find most compelling. Begin the process and add your support.

Tavis Smiley

An outspoken Television personality Author and voice for change. Tavis Smiley and Dr. Cornel West conducted a nine-state, 18-city tour to highlight the plight of poor people of all races, colors, and creeds so they will not be forgotten, ignored, or rendered invisible during this difficult and dangerous time of economic deprivation and political cowardice.

Alan Grayson

One of the most qualified people in the U.S. is running for office and he needs your support. Grayson is a hard hitting Harvard graduate who worked his way through school. In addition to credentials in law, Grayson has an advanced degree in gerontology, a resource that would bring insight on the feasibility and sustainability of all issues surrounding retirement and health care for senior citizens.

Elizabeth Warren

Elizabeth Warren’s dedication and impeccable methods in research were used extensively to create the (CFPB) Consumer Financial Protections Bureau. In fact, Ms. Warren’s work is so discouraging to corporate interests that she moved aside so that Richard Cordray could head the agency. The end result is that now Ms. Warren is running to become part of congress. The people could not ask for a better leader for liberty.
